How Hubspot Certification Makes You a Better B2B Inbound Marketer

lukes-head-2Hubspot’s courses are great resources for increasing your knowledge of inbound marketing concepts as well as learning about their company and products. There are currently five total online courses offered by Hubspot. Some are open to the public and some are not. I recently went through the Inbound certification course and the Hubspot certification course.

 The Inbound course is free to the public and is divided into eleven different lessons, each containing around 45 minutes of video material and a test at the end.  This certification is a broad look at inbound marketing as a whole and is good for people who are new to inbound marketing.

Hubspot has set itself apart as an authority by creating an impressive amount of free, online, no strings attached (they would insist) educational videos that they have organized into a series of Inbound Marketing Certification courses.

This Week'’s B2B Word on the Street is: GUERILLA MARKETING
You'’ve seen them in action, from historic photos of Depression-era men wearing sandwich boards on busy sidewalks to today, where giant ads are projected across the sides of buildings at night and street teams hand out samples of anything from cereal bars to cigarettes. From dancing costumed mascots to the Flying Elvi, it'’s not the most dignified side of marketing, but it can be effective.

Social Media Minute:  Inbound marketing blog from MLT Creative, the B2B idea launch pad.Just when I started getting the hang of texting shortcuts and slang on my mobile, I found myself having to decifer a similar string of shortened, twangled words to stay within Twitter's 140-character limit. Here's the list, so far.  Please share your favorites.

@reply: The @reply is a Twitter update (a tweet) that is directed to another user in reply to their update. An @reply will be saved in the user's "Replies" tab. Replies are sent either by clicking the "reply" icon next to an update or by typing @(username), then the message (e.g., "@MLTCreative I saw that movie too").
