LinkedIn recently released their The Sophisticated Marketer’s Guide to LinkedIn, and it is full of stats and info related to how effective LinkedIn can be for marketing. In fact, it even features our very own Viveka von Rosen, whom we are collaborating with on our B2B LinkedIn Launchpad Training Series. For B2B Social Media Marketing: Facebook “Like” or “Share” Button?

Personally, I prefer the “Share” button because it allows me to comment on what I am sharing, but I wondered whether or not my preference was in fact a best practice. I first became aware of the ad, referred to as "The Man In The Chair", when I was studying graphic design and art direction twenty years after it was first published. It wasn't the creative design of the ad that struck me, it was the message. And as I look at it now, I realize it was the first true B2B ad I remember and it's still relevant for B2B marketing professionals today.

When B2B Social Media Marketing Isn't Social Anymore

This particular Sunday contributor Luke Burbank presented his commentary on “How Smart Technology is Making us Dumb.” Luke proposes that “every week seems to bring some new gizmo or gadget aimed at making our lives easier and all this "convenience" is having some unintended consequences.” 

Likewise social media outlets and the tools that help us optimize our efforts in B2B social media marketing are constantly updating. I am not sure who these “updates” are truly benefitting.
